The weather this weekend has been crazy. Obscene winds and rain – pretty much tropical storm weather. I decided to sit in yesterday and just relax and watch tv. But, we have satellite, so everytime whatever movie I was watching would start to get good – BAM! – lost signal.

Meanwhile, I decided to reinstall OS X on my iMac because it’s been acting weird and it fails on checking file permissions. I backed everything up and took my time. Once I had formatted and reinstalled OS X, I realized that I had forgotten to backup my photos. Anything after June (with the exception of the photos from Spain – thank god) is gone. =(

For some reason I have the incredible urge to completely redesign my site – again. Perhaps it’s because it’s been so long since I’ve done any work on it, and it’s still unfinished? I kind of feel disconnected from it.

But, one thing at a time. I did a little sketching last night – some Megatokyo fan art. It came out relatively good actually. I think I’ll work on things like that for a bit to get the creative juices flowing first. Then maybe work on some projects that I’ve been promising friends for a while now. Redesigning my site will come last.

A friend loaned me his MegaTokyo comics. I’ve been reading those, and watching the new tv show “Heroes”. Both of those have really been inspiring me to be creative again in my “spare time”. I’m trying to do some “sketching sessions” with friends on a semi-regular basis. Let me know if you’re interested in joining in.

For now I think I’m going to try to keep it to Saturday afternoons. I’d try to get together more frequently, but I never know what my schedule will be like during the week because of work, and I still need to try to get the motivation to go to the gym.

The journal has quite a few photos and stories. I’m working on batch-resizing the the remaining photos so that I can upload them to my gallery – and perhaps my devART gallery if any of them are good enough.
